'I found your ID!' Tom Hanks goes the extra mile to return pretty student's card... months after someone did the same for him

It's hard to find the silver lining in losing your identification cards.
Unless, that is, a film star happens to find them.
Tom Hanks went out of his way to return a woman's Fordham University ID card after finding it on Tuesday.
'Lauren! I found your Student ID in the park,' he tweeted. 'If you still need it my office will get to you. Hanx.'

The Forrest Gump star's move was perhaps inspired by his own experience, when a well-wisher went out his way to reunite the actor with his credit card back in March.
'A guy named Tony found my credit card on the street in NYC and returned it!' he tweeted at the time. 'Tony! You make this city even greater! Thanx. HANX.'
Tom certainly isn't the first star to use their celebrity powers for good.

Meanwhile social media lover Hanks has responded to a high school campaign to gt him involved in their Hanks-themed homecoming.
The students at Kerman High School in Fresno, California, are designing floats for the parade based upon the movie star's films.
And after they started a campaign to get him involved - hashtag #tomhanks2kermanhc - the actor tweeted that he would think of something suitable.
'Gear up, Kerman High School for Homecoming! I’m working on something for the Festivites! Hanx'
